The Lewis Legacy
Editor, Kathryn Lindskoog
The first issue of The Lewis Legacy appeared in February 1989 as a brief bi-monthly newsletter, and in January 1991 it became a 20-page quarterly. Issues for 2000 are numbers 83-86. The Lewis Legacy is listed in the reference guide NEWSLETTERS IN PRINT from Gale Research Inc., ISSN 084-2586.
The Lewis Legacy offered a variety of information on British author C. S. Lewis (1898-1963) with emphasis upon forgeries in his posthumous canon. Recurring features included news of current developments in Lewis affairs; new Lewis research; letters to the editor; interviews; book reviews; satire; poetry; quotations; and descriptions of a variety of literary hoaxes and frauds. Illustrations consisted of black and white photographs, graphics, and cartoons.
The Lewis Legacy ceased publication approximately nine months prior to Kathryn's death.
